Green Labourers Card

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) has recently made changes for obtaining a Green Labourers Card. These new requirements  were introduced in July 2014 and state that along with the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Test, a qualification Green Labourers Card(or alternative) must be achieved in order to apply for the Green Card.

You can view the information video at

To fulfil the required training elements, we have launched the IOSH Working Safely award.  This qualification is eligible for the Green Labourers Card, more information HERE. Learners will also need to sit a Health, Safety & Environmemnt test separately. There will be two results, one for the qualification and one for the HS&E Test (both have to be passed for the Green Card to be issued).

Unfortunately the old Construction Site Operative CSCS Green Card cannot be renewed. As of the 1st July 2014 this Green Card can no longer be renewed and will no longer be issued by CSCS.

If your Green Card expires after the 1st of July your Green CSO card will remain valid until its current expiry date.
