First Aid Courses

We use a range of hands-on activities that mean you will know how to put your skills into practice. We introduce practical training wherever possible by our experienced and dynamic instructors. Nobody ever knows when they might need to use first aid, but by having the correct skills you could save a life at work, home or leisure. First Aid certificates are valid for 3 years. All of our First Aid courses are eligible for ILA Scotland funding

First Aid Requalification (2 days)

FAW Certificates are valid for 3 years. However a first-aider can attend an FAW requalification course up to 3 months before the expiry date on their certificate. The new certificate will then be effective from that expiry date. Where this has not been possible, HSE will allow an extension of the certificate for 28 days beyond the expiry date, within which a requalification course should be completed. This course will cover the topics of the full FAW in sufficient detail to ensure candidates are competent on completion.

Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day)

This course is designed to cover the basics of the treatment of an unconscious casualty, EAV/CPR skills and the treatment of wounds and bleeding. A mix of theory and practical sessions are included and although there is no formal assessment, candidates are awarded a certificate if they can show competent skills throughout the practical sessions.
