To enable an individual to effectively comply with their duties under the Work at Height Regulations.

  • Work at Height Regulations 2005
  • Safe & Unsafe Working practices – Safe places of work, Personal fall protection equipment,Scaffolds & Mobile Access Towers, MEWPs and suspended platforms, Ladders & Steps,

    Fragile Roofs and other surfaces.

  • Recogniszing common unsafe practices/Hazards
  • Collective Fall protection/Prevention
  • Communication
  • Rescue Plan
  • Need for inspection of Work Equipment
  • Falling objects and danger areas
  • AssessmentRATIO OF INSTRUCTORS TO TRAINEES

    1 instructor to 10 trainees

    ASSESSMENT

    (a) Examination – Theory test.
    (b) Practical – pre-use checks (depending on equipment used/available)

    CERTIFICATION

    Successful candidates will receive a Varis Training Certificate or NPORS card
